Mr. Md. Touhidul Islam Chowdhury delivered an insightful presentation on the topic. He emphasized that the Balance of Trade of Bangladesh is mainly influenced by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Terms of Trade (ToT), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Exchange Rate (ER), and Foreign Remittance (FR). Historical data show that a negative trade balance has existed since the liberation war of Bangladesh, meaning imports have always been greater than exports. This paper provides meaningful suggestions for recovering the negative trade balance, which could help Bangladesh create a favorable trade balance in the future. This would, in turn, assist businesspeople in making informed investment decisions by evaluating the key variables. The seminar also highlighted that a favorable balance of trade can help reduce social problems.

The session featured an engaging discussion led by Mr. Rajib Datta, Associate Professor in the Finance Discipline at DBA; Mr. Ariful Hoque, Vice President (VP) and Manager of NCC Bank PLC, Chattogram; and Ms. Tarannum Ahmed, Priority Manager at Eastern Bank PLC, Chattogram. All the faculty members of the department actively participated in the discussion and acknowledged that there is a significant relationship between the explanatory variables and the trade balance of Bangladesh.

২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৫, মঙ্গলবার, বিকেল ৩টায় অনুষ্ঠিত এই সেমিনারে প্রবন্ধ পাঠ করেন প্রিমিয়ার ইউনিভার্সিটির ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক তৌহিদুল ইসলাম চৌধুরী। 

আলোচক ছিলেন প্রিমিয়ার ইউনিভার্সিটি ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক রাজীব দত্ত, এনসিসি ব্যাংক পিএলসির মাঝিরঘাট শাখা-চট্টগ্রামের ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট ও ম্যানেজার জনাব আরিফুল হক এবং ইস্টার্ন ব্যাংক পিএলসির ও. আর. নিজাম রোড শাখা-চট্টগ্রামের প্রায়োরিটি ম্যানেজার জনাব তারান্নুম আহমেদ। 

সেমিনারের পরিচালনায় ছিলেন ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. তাসনিম উদ্দিন, সহকারী অধ্যাপক জলি পাল ও ইলা সাহা। 

ইলা সাহার সঞ্চালনায় সেমিনারে ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা অনুষদের সহকারী ডিন প্রফেসর এম. মঈনুল হক এবং ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন বিভাগের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
