Keynote Presenter: Shafaitun Nahar, Assistant Professor, Accounting Discipline, DBA Date: March 11, 2024 Organized by : Department of Business Administration (DBA) at Premier University, Chittagong Discussant: Mr. Steve Oscar D’Rozario, Assistant Professor, Accounting Discipline, DBA Ms. Shafaitun Nahar presented a thorough analysis of the global financial crisis and corporate failures. her study highlights the crucial role of Risk Management Subcommittees in corporate governance to mitigate failures, enhance governance, and prevent future scandals. The discussion panel included Mr. Steve Oscar D’Rozario provided critical insights on strategies to minimize risks and reduce corporate collapses. All faculty members from the department participated in the seminar and actively engaged in discussions on how corporate governance practices can be redefined to improve organizational performance and safeguard against corporate failures.
