Prize Distribution Ceremony of Gamemania at the Department of Business Administration, Premier University.

The Business Sports Club of the Department of Business Administration at Premier University successfully organized a five-day-long ‘Intra Department Gamemania (Season-1)’.

In this sports competition, Smash Squad (Batch 47) became champion and Black Hawk (Batch 47) runner-up in table tennis; Rahul Kader (Batch 47) became champion and Samiyul Haque (Batch 45) runner-up in chess; Homies (Batch 43) champion and MK (Batch 43) runner-up in ludo; Pocket Legend (Batch 45) champion and Flames (Batch 44) runner-up in carrom; Famia (Batch 48) champion and Tisha Chowdhury (Batch 47) runner-up in Rubik’s Cube; Air Sun Esports (Batch 47) became champion in PUBG. In e-football, Rifat Bin Rashid (Batch 50) became champion and Tanvir Ahmed (Batch 44) runner-up. In the outdoor cricket event, Gladiators (Batch 39) emerged as champion and Spartones (Batch 49) runner-up.

The prize distribution ceremony of this sports competition was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the central auditorium of Premier University, Dampara. The honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Premier University and Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, Dr. Shahadat Hossain, was present as the Chief Guest. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, Professor S. M. Nasrul Qadir, attended as the Special Guest of Honor. Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, M. Moinul Haque, and University Proctor, Mr. Mohammad Solaiman Chowdhury, were also present as special guests. The welcome speech was delivered by the Convener of the Business Sports Club, Steve Oscar D’Rozario.

Chief Guest Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, “In sports, winning and losing will always be there. Whether someone wins or loses, what matters most is the bond among everyone. That is the beauty of democracy. From Premier University, we will spread this beauty not only to Chattogram but across Bangladesh.” He also gave valuable insights on the importance of primary medical care for players and the necessity of proper preparation before games.

Vice-Chancellor Professor S. M. Nasrul Qadir said, “The university is not only for education but also for extracurricular activities. At Premier University, along with academics, art, literature, cultural practices, sports, and religious events are equally encouraged. This university nurtures its students to build a bright future.”

Associate Dean M. Moinul Haque remarked, “Gamemania is a perfect example of how the learning objectives of the curriculum can be achieved through sports.”

Proctor Mohammad Solaiman Chowdhury added, “Sports play an essential role in both physical and mental well-being.”

Teachers and students of the Department of Business Administration were present at the event. The program concluded with a delightful cultural performance.
