Meeting on the Expansion of Higher Education between Premier University and UTS College Bangladesh.

An important meeting on the expansion of higher education was held on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at UTS College Bangladesh, located at the Dampara campus of Premier University. The meeting featured constructive discussions between the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, Professor S. M. Nasrul Quadir, and the Executive Director (Future Students) of UTS College, Peter Harris, focusing on mutual cooperation and the development of existing higher education initiatives.

Also present at the meeting were Dr. Arif Jobayer, CEO and Founder of Bangladesh Education and Research Institute (BERI) and UTS College Bangladesh; Naqib Khan, Country Head and Ambassador of UTS College Bangladesh; Md. Iftekhar Monir, Registrar of Premier University; Farzana Yasmin Chowdhury, Academic Manager and Main Contact of the “Premier University–UTS College Bangladesh” joint program; and Nazma Akter, IT Program Coordinator of UTS College Bangladesh.

During the meeting, participants discussed in detail how the academic activities of the “Premier University–UTS College Bangladesh” joint program could be expanded and extended to various regions of Bangladesh. Emphasis was also placed on creating accessible and effective opportunities for talented students to pursue international-standard higher education, enhancing the quality and relevance of the joint academic programs, supporting students’ career development, and strengthening future academic and research collaboration.

The participants expressed hope that through continued collaboration between Premier University and UTS College Bangladesh, students across the country would gain easier and more effective access to international-quality education, thereby accelerating the qualitative development of Bangladesh’s higher education sector.
