In 1978, I visited Tree University in Singapore and Malaysia on a fellowship of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) to study the business education system at those universities. In 1988 I received a Development Fellowship of the ACU to study the implementation of international accounting standards by the companies in India. In 1989 I visited a number of universities in USA under BMET project of the World Bank. In 1998 I received a Senior Fulbright Fellowship and worked as a Visiting Scholar for nine months at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Campus, USA. During my teaching career at the University of Chittagong I attended many workshops, and presented papers at many conferences at home and abroad. My papers were published in journals in Bangladesh and abroad. I retired from the University of Chittagong in 2020 and again served the same University as Supernumerary Professor of Accounting for two years (2015-2017).
